Bachelor of Arts in Online Media and Marketing

King College offers more than 80 majors, minors, pre-professional degrees and concentrations in fields such as business, nursing, digital media, forensic science, education, and humanities. Graduate programs are offered in business administration, education, and nursing. Located in the twin cities of Bristol, TN and Bristol, VA. Bristol is one community in two states: Bristol, Virginia, on the north side of State Street and Bristol, Tennessee, on the south side nestled in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains.

Online Media and Marketing is an interdisciplinary program incorporating courses from Business Administration and Economics, Technical and Professional Communication, and Computer Science that will prepare students for a career in information architecture, web page design, web application development, electronic commerce, or online advertising and marketing.

I had the privilege of teaching the following classes while at Godby: Introduction to Information Technology, Introduction to Web Design and Multimedia, Advanced Web Design I-IV, PC Support, Programming I-III and Geospatial Information Studies.

Academy of Information Technology at Godby High School, is a district wide magnet program for high school students in Leon County. Students are prepared for industry certifications from Adobe, Microsoft, Cisco, and A+. Students are part of a small learning community within the larger high school and have access to teachers only within the program. Students also have choices of academic tracks like Web Design, Digital Design, and Programming.

While at Ball State I was asked to produce, manage, and supervise the departmental website. Serve as resource for faculty and students regarding technological aspects of computer hardware and software applications. Oversee the operation of multimedia equipment and electronic classrooms; maintain supplies for presentations, projects, publications, instruction and graphics. Planning, advertising and helping implement events for students, external constituencies, and within department. Assistant instructor for HSC 396 – Multimedia Technology Class.

Samples of my work from King College can be found in the online portfolio. Other projects I completed while with King College included: launch of a new website for the college, an online application, and an email campaign that corresponded with over 50,000 students.

While at King College, I worked with the Department of Communications to ensure effective communication to both internal and external markets of King College through the use of the web page and integrated email. Responsible for the graphic design, writing and editing of online and email information used in the promotion of the college and all information related to the development and maintenance of a cutting-edge, fully integrated website and email communications process.
